I know they are your mama’s hands but all I can see are my mama’s hands. Even in the way the four fingers are held on the left hand, mimics my mother’s hands. Not to mention, the weathering and the bone structure and the fingernails, the way the hands are carried -the carriage of the hands. Your work is extraordinarily beautiful with the luscious colors inviting and soothing against the time-age-life withered hands.. Yet, simultaneously a very disturbing image carrying beauty and pain, determination and trepidity, grace and reverence, age and age again. They almost carry a prayer. V Houghtaling
