The Hunchback Goddess Series appeared after I noticed that I was quite aware of other people’s aging but not my own. I asked why and the image of my mother’s elderly body collapsed into a dowagers hump appeared along with the memory of her horrific pain.
I had also heard of Kubjika, the Tantric Hunchback Goddess, a symbol of innocence and spiritual power.
Somehow these images merged yet came forward into a new one. each with her own felt presence.
